Stuff You'll Want to Have - Performance Enhancements
Are you ready to add a little more scoot to your scoot? How does 6-9 mph top speed sound? Want to go 63 mph instead of 54? How does pulling away from the pack faster sound? Better acceleration to get up to cruising speed faster? If you are ready, so are we, with some of the best after market performance upgrades available for your scooter.
So, as you begin to face the reality of winter weather, we are recommending three upgrades for your scoot over the winter, in this order:
- Performance Exhaust. Less air restriction and more air flow means a peppier engine for your scoot. Check out the NCY Carp Mouth Carbon GY6 performance exhaust. $375 installed.
- Performance Carburetor. Better air/fuel mix means a happier, smoother, peppier engine. Check out the Keihin GY6 carburetor. (manifold extra if needed). $285 installed
- Performance Transmission: OK, so you have an exhaust and carburetor that can't be beat. Now it's time to do some work on the CVT (continuous variable transmission). A new set of performance rollers and belts is just what the scooter doctor ordered. $199 installed.
